What’re your reading habits like?

I saw this floatin’ around a couple of blogs I follow (Melissa and Callum, namely) and thought it looked like fun. My reading’s really slackened this year, but I made it a priority again about halfway through, so there may be hope for me yet. c;

Question #1: Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
Typically speakin’, bed. Sometimes the kitchen counter or living room couch, though, if I’m cooking dinner for the night.

Question #2: Bookmark or a random piece of paper?
Bookmark~! The one with the Maori proverb on it.

Question #3: Can you stop reading anytime you want or do you have to stop at a certain page, chapter, part, etc.?
Chapter. If I don’t, I’ll usually forget what happened.

Question #4: Do you eat or drink while reading?
Apple juice!

Question #5: Can you read while listening to music/watching TV?
I prefer it.

Question #6: One book at a time, or several at once?
Several at once, though I’ve been tryin’ monogamy out lately.

Question #7: Reading at home or everywhere?
Everywhere! It’s the only way I’d get to read #anhouraday.

Question #8: Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Silently. If it’s out loud, it’s my own writin’.

Question #9: Do you read ahead or skip pages?
I try not to, but on boring or super action-y parts, sometimes.

Question #10: Breaking the spine or keeping it new?
Gotta break the spine. Tryin’ not to only makes matters worse.

Question #11: Do you write in books?
NEVAR!

  1. As entertaining as ever :-) I’m glad you played along. I watched your vlog and am envious of your engaging presence in front of the camera. Thinking about sitting in front of a camera without waving my arms about (the interpreter thing) brings me out in hives!

    • I know, I know – O, the sacrilege! It seems I’m a one-person minority in that one, but I find that I cannot read a book that’s too mint. I wanna see what those words are in the inner margins, damnit!
